As from 1824 to the present, a total of 182 years, the temple has continually expanded. In 1978, Phra Khru Pisanwuthikit had this image made. The interior has 28 rooms for practicing meditation. This image is approximately 53 metres long, 7.5 metres wide and 18 metres high. A total of 16 million Baht was used to build it, and it is the largest reclining Buddha image in Thailand .
