The Bangphli ancient floating market located on the sides of the Samrong canal is a perfectly preserved 150-year- old market. Along the sidewalks, there are shops selling numerous kinds of food, the olden style kids toys, home decorations, etc. Visitors will enjoy shopping along the canal with many vendors boats filled with food, snacks, and seasonal fruits.
Apart from shopping, lets take a look at the activities being held during the fair. In the early morning begin your day with a Buddhist tradition of offering food to the monks who come by boats. Then, enjoy the exhibitions of our Great King and the locals ways of life. Now, get back to the past with ancient local games, historical fancy dress, and photo, painting and singing contests. And lastly, a boat tour along the Samrong canal is a must-do activity.
Due to the short distance from Bangkok, visitors can also include a few other nearby interesting places in their one-day trip to Samut Prakan.
