Festivals & Traditions
Sweet Plum
This annual festival is held between February and March in front of the Town Hall. The purpose is to introduce sweet plum and other varieties of fruit and handicraft produced in Nakornnayok. During the festival, there are contests, shows participated by school children, and exhibitions by both private and government sectors.
Flower Festival
The Annual Flower Festival can be observed between March and April along Klong 15, Tambol Bang Plakod, Amphur Ongkarak. There are contests ranging from ornamental flower arrangement to garden landscaping.
Nakornnayok Natural Heritage
Another festival, the Natural Heritage conducted from May until July of every year on Suwansorn Road, boasts many interesting activities including Exhibition on the Wondrous Things of Nakornnayok, Special Delectable Dishes, Bicycle Racing, Canoeing and Rafting, Forest Trekking, and strolling around Nakornnayok through many different routes.
Merit-Making

The TakBardThevoRohana is celebrated during the month of November (Lunar Month) as the first day of Buddhist Lent. Many monks will walk down from Mondop Wat Khao Nang Boaj to receive merits, some in form of food.
Sart Thai and Dragon Boat Racing

You may watch the spectacles of this traditional festival in the month of October every year around Wat Tawipool Rangsarn, Ongkarak. There are Thai candy making competitions (Krayasart) and Dragon Boat Racing.
